Tom Bridges


Noble Tom Bridges began his journey in Hibriten Lodge 262 in Lenoir in 2010 when he was raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason and joined Oasis Shriners that same year. He served as Master in 2018 and Master of Knights of Solomon Lodge No. 764 in 2021. He is a member of Prometheus Lodge No. 775, a traditional observance lodge. Noble Tom proudly served the Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons as District Deputy Grand Master of the 34th Masonic District from 2022-2024.
Noble Tom has extensive service within the York Rite of Freemasonry including service as the Most Excellent Grand High Priest of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons in North Carolina during both 2019 and 2020. He received the Knight York Grand Cross of Honor in 2019. He currently serves with pleasure as the North Carolina Representative to the General Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons International.

Noble Tom served as Sovereign Master of J. Allen Suther Council No. 337, Allied Masonic Degrees in 2016 and served as Excellent Chief of Appalachian Council No. 121, Knight Masons in 2020. He served as Governor of the Western North Carolina York Rite Sovereign College No. 78 in 2023. Noble Tom served as President of the North Carolina Associated of Allied Masonic Degrees in 2019.

Noble Tom served as Master of the North Carolina Court No. 73, The Masonic Order of Athelstan in 2022. He is a long-serving treasurer of Solar White Quarry for The Operatives and serves as an officer of North Carolina Conclave No. 24, Pilgrim Preceptors, having also been a Charter Member of that body. He serves as an officer within the Grand Line for The Commemorative Order of St. Thomas of Acon, United States of America.

Noble Tom is serving as Sovereign of the St. Titus Conclave, Red Cross of Constantine this year. He serves within the progressive officer line for Mount of the Holy Cross Tabernacle No. 1, Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priests and stands to serve as its Preceptor in 2031.

He is an Associate Regent of the York Rite Sovereign College of North America, having been elected to receive the Order of the Purple Cross of York (OPC) in 2022, which is the highest honor of the College and is only conferred on members who have distinguished themselves by their service to humanity or to the Rite.

He is a member of the Grand College of Rites of the United States of America, the Sovereign Order of Knight Preceptors, the Ancient and Masonic Order of the Scarlet Cord, the Royal Order of the Red Branch of Eri, the Royal Order of Scotland, Ye Ancient Order of Noble Corks, the Masonic Order of the Bath, and the Ancient and Heroic Order of the Gordian Knot. In 2022, he served as President of National Sojourners Chapter 553 and in 2023 served as Commander of the Heroes of ‘76, Cane Creek Camp. He is a member of the Advisory Council for Lenoir Assembly No. 87, The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls.

Within the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, this distinguished brother is a member of the Valley of Charlotte, Orient of North Carolina in which he served as Wise Master of the Mecklenburg Chapter of Rose Croix in 2020 and 2021. He was distinguished as a Knight Commander of the Court of Honour and received his red cap in 2017. He is also a member of the Valley of Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Within the Shrine, Noble Tom served as President of Foothills Shrine Club in both 2014 and 2015 and is a proud member of the Oasis Patrol Unit. He is a member of the Royal Order of Jesters, Charlotte Court 109. He is also a member of the Order of Quetzalcoatl, Teocalli No. 99. He was appointed to the Oasis Divan in 2021 by Illustrious Sir Tommy Helms to serve as Outer Guard and Membership Chairman and was reappointed to that position in 2022 by Illustrious Sir Tim Daniels. He was appointed in 2023 by Illustrious Sir Doug Garland as Marshal and successfully implemented numerous Oasis Fundraisers including raffles as well as the annual Oasis Golf Tournament.

His son, Nick, is a proud Master Mason and Noble of Oasis Shriners. His daughter, Alana, is a Past Grand Worthy Advisor for the Grand Assembly of North Carolina, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. His wife, Lady Shela, proudly served as Queen of Latona Temple No. 154, Daughters of the Nile in both 2014 and 2018.
