Larry Payne
Larry Wayne Payne started his Freemason journey in 2011. Past Potentate Wayne King has been a long time friend and helped Larry start his journey.
In the Fall of 2011, Larry became a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason in Charlotte Valley. In 2012, Larry became an Oasis Shriner at the Summer Cermonial in Blowing Rock, NC. Ill Sir H. Mike Cook was Potentate.
Soon after the ceremonial, Wayne King introduced Larry to the Potentate Guard, where he became a member at that time. He was captain of the Potentate Guard from 2018 – 2020.
In 2020, Ill Sir Bill Carter appointed Larry as Chairmen of the Oasis Insurance Committee. where he has served as Chairmen since then and currenty has 4 committee members.
In 2022, Larry resigned from the Potentate Guard and became a member of the Oasis Ragtops, where he currently loves driving with the Ragtops for all the parades.
In 2024, Ill Sir Shea Fadel appointed Larry to the Divan as Marshal. As Marshal, Larry helps Oasis with fundraising and the annual Golf tournament.
In Larry's personal life, he is married to his beautiful wife Brittany and they have 2 kids, Raelynn and Madelyn. They both love travelling and spending time at the beach.
